上周，2个全新的特色活动在启明星中学部开启——社会创新市场和凤凰论坛，吸引了很多同学和老师参加。
两场活动由启明星的增益项目和社会创新项目发展而来，均由学生主导，定期举行。
社会创新市场和凤凰论坛的主要目的在于：
（1）为学生提供一个展示激情和才华的空间；
（2）营造和谐的社区环境，让学生、家长、老师等启明星社区成员汇聚在一起，彼此激励，促进有意义的对话和社区互动。

在社会创新市场上，学生售卖亲手制作的小物品或是转售商品，为自己的社会慈善事业筹集善款。

凤凰论坛
凤凰论坛，供学生们开展各种现场表演，包括音乐演奏、简短演讲、辩论、为社会福利事业做宣传、就富含意义的话题进行讨论等。

下一场社会创新市场和凤凰论坛正在筹备中，举办时间是2021年12月3日星期五3:45-5:30。
我们盼望疫情尽快缓解，家长也能够亲临现场，参加这两场活动。家长了解孩子们的才能和真正关心的问题，一起庆祝他们的成长，也是启明星开启这两项活动的另一项初衷！
Last week, Daystar Academy Secondary initiated two special activities—Social Innovation Marketplace and Phoenix Forums, and attracted many students and teachers to participate in.
These two projects are originated from Daystar’s enrichment program and Social Innovation Program, held regularly and totally led by students themselves.
The main purposes behind these events include:
(1) Creating a space for students to showcase their passions and talents;
(2) Fostering an environment where students, parents, teachers, and other Daystar community members can come together in an atmosphere that inspires and promotes meaningful dialogues and community interactions.

At Social Innovation Marketplace, students promote their social causes and raise money by selling their hand-made items or purchased and resold goods.

Phoenix Forums
Phoenix Forums is an event for students to participate in a variety of live performances ranging from playing music, presenting short speeches, participating in debates, making pitches for social causes, and presenting discussions about meaningful topics.

The next Social Innovation Marketplace and Phoenix Forums are to be held from 3:45-5:30 on Friday, December 3, 2021.
We hope the COVID-19 outbreak can be taken under control soon, so that parents could also join the events with us, to get to know students’ talents and the topics they are truly concerned about, and to celebrate their growth and improvement together, which is also a purpose why Daystar initiated the Social Innovation Marketplace and Phoenix Forums.
